IEP Strategy Review is designed for families who have an Individualized Education Plan in place but are unsure whether it truly reflects their child's needs or is working as intended. Drawing on years of experience as a licensed Intervention Specialist, we walk through your child's IEP with you, line by line, in clear, parent-friendly language.
Before the meeting, we request copies of the current IEP, recent progress reports, and any outside evaluations you wish to share. During the session, we examine present levels, goals, accommodations, services, and progress monitoring methods. Our focus is practical: Do the goals match your child's current abilities? Are they measurable? Do the listed services and supports align with the areas of greatest need?
We also consider how the plan plays out in daily life. Families can share real examples-unfinished homework, behavior concerns, reading frustration-and we connect those experiences back to what is, or is not, written into the document.
Following the review, you receive a written summary highlighting strengths of the current plan, possible gaps or inconsistencies, and specific questions or requests you might bring to the next school meeting. When desired, we can outline phrases that keep conversations collaborative while still advocating firmly for your child.
IEP Strategy Review does not replace legal advice or formal evaluations, but it does give families clarity, language, and a concrete strategy for partnering with schools more effectively. Parents walk away feeling prepared instead of intimidated, with a clearer path to ensuring their child receives meaningful support.
Share a few details about your learner and your goals, and our licensed intervention specialist will respond with clear next steps, program options, and a path toward confident, joyful learning at home.
